eCommerce Product Manager - Direct to Consumer

POSITION SUMMARY: 
The ideal candidate for this newly created role establishes, builds, and cultivates trusted relationships with brand teams, digital agencies, technical functions (LGO) and group functions (DSU and Functions). Initially, the role will be mainly working for one brand (NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto) and will subsequently expand to the rest of Nestlé brands for extended eCommerce solutions.

Additionally, the most successful candidate will be at ease both with digital tools and eCommerce marketing activities concepts.

The primary objective of this role is to help bridge requests from different teams using digital solutions in order to speed up marketing campaigns’ Time to Market, improve consumer experience, increase resolution of defects, reduce number of incidents and reduce time to develop features. This goal is accomplished by leveraging current platforms, expediting blocking issues resolution, and enhancing solutions.

The scope of the role includes Direct to Consumer omni-channels solutions, Webshop, emailing campaign, reporting solutions, A/B testing, etc.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 · Leverage current platforms
Support eMerchandiser, Data Analyst and Marketing Manager in proposing solutions to execute marketing campaigns leveraging current digital solution (Webshop, email, etc.)
· Help existing teams ramp up in their use of current tools
· Provide recommendations on best way to implement marketing campaigns
· Leverage best practices from the different groups/entities (NDG GBU, eAT, DAT, etc.)
· Oversee configurations made on different solutions (promo management, CMS, etc.)
· Facilitate conversation between brands and their respective digital agencies

· Expedite operational issues
Work with business and technical support teams from DSU and LGO to facilitate defect resolution
o Act as a super user for the marketing and consumer service teams
o Lead blocking defect resolution (assess potential root cause, route to correct team, organize task force, etc.) and help business teams to qualify issues
o Monitor operational effectiveness of different solutions (hosting quality, reconciliation issues, defects rate, etc.)
o Define and implement plans to resolve consumer complaints

· Enhance solutions
Work with business and technical teams to propose options to meet business requests, by leveraging current solutions, teaming up with other markets or proposing new digital solutions
o Provide recommendations on solution evolution
o Participate in requirements identification and delivery
o Liaise with central teams to understand roadmaps and opportunities
o Liaise with markets to understand how we can leverage / team up with them on similar requirements
o Serve as the Single Point of Contact for development agency business analysts
· Additional responsibilities as identified or needed
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL: 
  · A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent and relevant work experience
 
EXPERIENCE: 
  · Minimum of 6-8 years of experience working on Digital Marketing/Internet/Web solution design
· Experience in a related role in Consumer Packaged Goods company, Agency, or technology focused company preferred
· Experience with designing and developing eCommerce applications and with software engineering management
· Cloud application development and management experience
· Demonstrated experience in succeeding in a number of challenging and diverse business situations
· Strong track-record for delivering results in a highly matrixed and complex corporate environment
· Experience with a strong digital ecommerce focus driving and monitoring technical standards, reporting and communicating results across organizational levels
· Experience with ecommerce and/or the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
 
SKILLS:
· Excellent technical accumen in digital tools including:
· Webshop (Magento, etc.)
· CRM / email campaign management tool (Eloqua, etc.)
· eContent syndication tools
· CMS
· HTML, CSS
· Web design tools (Photoshop)
· Google eCommerce
· Web site publication
· Search Engine Optimization
· Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Webmaster Tool
· XML and integration to external system
 
· Good Marketing & Sales Process/business knowledge in fast moving consumer goods industry
· Strong knowledge of the digital space and technical development; ability to understand technical activities, website and application development processes, and interpret and communicate ecommerce needs and benefits
· Understanding of website infrastructure, data systems, back-end development, or domain name industry a plus
· Developer level skills on Magento or related webshop tools, proven track record in managing webshop operations
· Strong webmaster skills
· Strong business case analysis, planning, project management, and presentation skills
· Excellent SDLC experience including strong design skills, agile implementation principles and practices, knowledge of version control management, testing frameworks, production environment deployment and maintenance
· Expert problem solver, experience in process improvement
· Ability to develop and execute project plans by managing the constraints of cost, time, scope, and quality of the deliverable; ability to meet assigned deadlines and adjust work priorities based on business needs
· Experience with high-volume/high transaction e-commerce applications, has intimate knowledge of Internet Technologies and understand the latest changes and trends in this area of technology
· Flexibility and adaptability to the demands and requirements of a complex environment with multiple priorities; ability to work on multiple projects and assignments simultaneously
· Excellent creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to complex problems that may not have one clear answer; the ability to identify alternatives, workarounds or temporary solutions
· The ability to challenge the status quo and recommend new methods and solutions to problems and issues
· Persuade/influence team members, sell ideas effectively, get results and follow through
· Strong decision-making skills, and an understanding of where projects fit into development strategy
· Demonstrate integrity and maturity, and a constructive approach to challenges
· Operate independently given direction, set direction and bring ideas and solutions to issues raised
· Works well in a team environment or individually, with a positive attitude
· Superior communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
· Proficient in MS Office suite
