The Warehouse Associate can be responsible for ensuring that our product is moved within our warehouse in a safe and efficient manner, that proper inventory is maintained, and good housekeeping and warehouse standards are upheld.
•Timely and accurate loading and unloading of route delivery trucks per ticket requirements.
•Timely and accurate loading and unloading of tractor-trailer trucks.
•Responsible general housekeeping to ensure our warehouse standards are met in a safe and professional manner. This may include sweeping, consolidation of product, facility maintenance, organizing product and other tasks as necessary.
•Maintain the integrity of products through proper handling and storage.
•Maintain accurate inventories.
•Ensure safe operation of a forklift.
•Movement of delivery trucks including truck refueling which requires working outdoors.
•Ability to learn and operate SAP/GLOBE computer systems.
•Supply internal departments with materials, supplies, and finished goods.
•Communicate in written and verbal form with other employees and outside contacts.
•Employee shall follow all required GMP, quality and food safety requirements. In addition, employee shall notify their supervisor or other designated personnel of all quality or food safety findings or incidents.
•Employee shall follow Nestlé’s safety & environmental objectives & targets, follow the plant safety rules, report incidents & unsafe conditions immediately, maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to the Safety & Environmental Management System(s) on all related procedures and programs.
•Willing to work in a seasonal environment.
•The job is a seasonal assignment that will last for about 2-4 months.
•Other duties as assigned.
•1-3+ years of forklift and/or warehouse experience preferred.
•Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. as needed.
•High school diploma or GED is desired.
•Ability to operate a forklift if needed.
•Ability to work self-directed or in a team.
•Positive attitude with a strong attendance record.
•Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
•Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
•Ability to speak effectively one-on-one with other employees or before groups of employees.
•Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
•Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.
•Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
•Must be willing to accept seasonal/temporary assignment.
•Able and willing to work 12 hour shifts, six days a week.
•Able to work weekends and holidays.
•Must be willing to accept that the job is a seasonal assignment that will last for about 2-4 months.
•Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
•Possess basic computer knowledge.
