The Nestle Starbucks Branded Solutions organization is looking to welcome a critical program manager role on the concept & innovation team. Responsible for ideating and implementing innovative, brand-right environmental and fixture concepts to better serve our customers needs and consumer consumption behaviors. Should constantly pattern the external market to bring insights and brand-right recommendations to the team. Accountable for creating and delivering impactful presentations used to influence leadership. Consistently demonstrates a passion for our customer, fosters a collaborative, team-oriented work environment, and is agile in an environment of constant change.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
•Idea generator for café/retail design concepts, high-profile projects, prototype, and fixture design.
•Interpret and influence design to improve quality and retail performance.
•Leverage understanding of Merchandising and Visual Merchandising functions to ensure retail design, product presentation and operational needs is seamless.
•Provide leadership curiosity of retail, environmental and industry trends.
•Apply knowledge to influence and guide design decisions.
•Communicate timely and effectively with innovation manager and director regarding critical and relevant matters related to project work.
•Apply a solid understanding of millwork details, fixtures, hardware, and materials and their impact on merchandising and customer use.
•Participate in material/finish selection, research and development work in collaboration with Sourcing team.
•Develop and foster collaborative relationships with internal partners, contractors, vendors and architects.
•Possess fundamental understanding of details and materials with the durability appropriate for projects.
•Prepare floor plans, storefront elevations, and other materials, such as renderings, to support brand-right design ideas/solutions.
•Prepare presentation materials and deliver compelling presentations to partners/leadership.
•Identify and propose innovative solutions to resolve issues that impact project schedule, cost or design integrity.
•Travel to provide on-site design support, become familiar with construction details, and evaluate end result.
Summary of Experience
– Progressive experience in design and development. 4-6 years
– Project management experience in a cross-functional environment. 3-5 years
•Bachelor’s degree required.
•4-6+ years experience in retail design in a corporate environment or design firm
•Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Microsoft Suite, In Design and/or Photoshop
•Experience in industrial or interior design a plus
•Excellent sketching and rendering skills
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
