The Senior Solutions Architect (Cloud Platform) ensures our global cloud based solutions meet the business needs in terms of value, functionality, compliance and operational requirements. This position is responsible for delivering global cloud solutions through the execution of strategic projects in the areas of innovation and architectural renovation that will revolutionize the way our organization can provide excellent service to our customers.
By taking an innovative approach, you will drive initiatives and deliver best-in-class cloud based infrastructure solutions by aligning with vendors on roadmap creation and implementation, work as an independent internal group to identify opportunities to leverage the latest in cloud platform services through in depth market analysis.
Drive and collaborate with global team members related to renovation, maintenance, sustainment, and the expansion of the organization’s suite of cloud based IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS infrastructure architecture, primarily through new upgrades, data migrations, among other continuous improvement initiatives.
Support the organization’s cloud based end user solutions, such as Workstations, Mobile Devices, Windows Servers, Management Tools and Virtualization Platforms. With a focus on reliability, scale, efficiency, and availability.
Ensure architectural solutions related to cloud platforms meet the needs of the business through constant contact with business stakeholders. Identify areas of improvement, present options to increase performance and cloud platform sustainability, and drive solutions through to implementation.
Investigate all cloud platform compliance related issues, including compliance signoffs (CtA, ISMS, CSRM, etc.), assuring risk assessments are completed and any lapses in meeting said standards are remediated and documented.
Ensure standards and risk assessments, RTP, and control execution / related overviews are conducted and approved by executive leadership.
Ensure projects to update solutions are properly managed by appointed Project Managers.
Serve as the primary contact for all cloud strategy and adoption reviews, including service level agreements, support guides, project roadmaps, and full life cycle implementation documentation.
Oversee all aspects related to cloud platform redesign and sustainment initiatives, specifically related to infrastructure architectural changes, the development and implementation of custom built scripts and tools, as well as minor developments or changes to infrastructure solutions live and in production.
Deliver and communicate support models, procedures and documentation related to said changes for leadership team’s review.
Drive and coordinate the organization’s Virtual Solution Delivery Team, with specific responsibilities in assuring the proper resources are allocated in proper capacities, are working on the most critical tasks and priorities, and will work in conjunction with regional teams to ensure that virtual resources are meeting their goals dictated by each group. Provide coaching and support to operational sustain teams and Business Solutions teams enabling them to implement the infrastructure standards.
Explore new solutions for the group through technology discovery sessions, carrying out ‘Proof of Concept’ and ‘Proof of Technology’ pilots, as well as advocating for the implementation of formal best practices to increase the efficiency of their assigned teams.
Work with suppliers and vendors to coordinate new releases or patches, with the intention of assuring they are not taking place during peak usage.
Provide feedback for the infrastructure strategy and maintain relevant roadmap documents.
Must reside or be willing to relocate to St. Louis, MO or Phoenix, AZ. Relocation assistance provided for those who qualify.
Bachelor is Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
5+ years of enterprise architecture experience required, 7+ years of experience preferred.
2+ years or experience in cloud-based solutions and associated technology, including Azure, AWS, GCP, OpenStack, CloudStack, IBM Cloud, Adobe Cloud, among others.
Experience in communicating and presenting complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders, in large-scale data migrations.
Previous experience managing onshore, near shore, and offshore resources preferred.
SKILLS / TECHNICAL PROFICIENCIES:
In depth knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure solutions (cloud and physical), including Microsoft programs, platform migrations, system security, enterprise directories, among others.
Strong understanding and recent experience working in a technical operations capacity, with specific responsibilities over systems security, testing, database architecture, and enterprise mobility.
