Supports Nestlé Professional Operations Controller on all decision support costing activity related to manufacturing expense and accruals ensuring alignment with business goals and accounting principles. Key responsibilities are reporting, analysis and insight of Technical & Production Costs for Nestle Professional. This role requires strong collaboration and partnering with multiple stakeholders including Nestle Owned Factory Controllers and Operations Controllers, Costing Center of Competence, Co Man Ops Controlling and NP Business Co-Pilots.
•Support the creation of Factory Operational Budgets and Dynamic Forecasts. Coordinate analysis and presentation of results to management in a consistent format across all factories.
•Manage monthly forecasts working with division, Ops controller and factory teams
•Support the creation of factory budgets
•Provide insight into the establishment of Plant Cost Savings Targets
•Support the updates to Forecasts (Risks & Opportunities) providing insights for operational cost variances and purchase price variances
•Execute the PEC process and provide critical decision support insightful reports to meet customer key requirements
•Prepare various plant operational financial performance reports supporting the analysis of factory financial performance
•Track and analyze actual cost savings performance on a monthly basis
•Analyze conversion cost and reporting related to volume, mix, and rate. Provide cost comparisons between products and manufacturing locations.
•Review the reconciliation of Plant Variances to the Dynamic Forecast considering the contribution of Cost Savings Projects, identifying cost aggravations and one time savings
•Create baseline COGS analysis at the SKU, Pack and Brand level for assigned Division
•Baseline analysis will include Volume/Rate/Mix variance calculations
•Impact of COGS variances on SKU/Pack/Brand costs
•Provide insights / explanations to ad hoc questions
•Provide visibility of Product Related Other (PRO) Budget/DF vs Actuals to Ops Controller and Division. Requires interaction/relationship with Technical Application Group (TAG) & factories
•Analyze and prepare journal entry for monthly inventory reserve. Prepare waste reporting. Work with cross-functional teams providing recommendations for reduction of waste.
•Work with Procurement team to understand and report out key commodity changes and impact on conversion cost.
•Facilitate, validate, and track the consolidated cost savings initiatives for Total Delivered Cost with specific attention to the plant cost savings initiatives.
•Work with cross-functional teams to prepare business model financials in support of new products or key initiatives.
•Partner with Supply Chain on working capital forecast and target attainment.
Direct supervision from Operations Controller.
No direct supervisory responsibilities.
REQUIREMEMENTS / EDUCATION:
BA/BS with major in Accounting or Finance required, MBA preferred. CPA, CMA, CIA or equivalent preferred.
3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably operations environment.
SAP experience preferred; strong modeling skills required.
