Day to day you will plan, conduct, or coordinate Industrial Engineering functions covering all aspects of process unit operations as applies in the production of wet and dry pet foods, pet treats, and cat/dog litter. Technical expertise to include building simulation models, work methods, ergonomics, quality systems, database mining, and statistical analysis.

Position will require travel, with expected levels at 30%, but may be more during project start up and commissioning.
- Contribute to capital project development and execution using traditional Industrial Engineering Tools, such as simulation modeling, six sigma, lean manufacturing, and statistical data analysis. Simulation work will be used to define scope for new projects, identify bottlenecks, and unlock capacity in existing systems.
- Design and develop queries within SQL to perform data mining which aid in capital project development and simulation modeling.
- Create basic process operation documentation for capital projects to outline operational interface with capital equipment as pertains to quality, maintenance, sanitation, and production work methods.
- Perform ergonomic analysis of equipment arrangements for capital projects during the design phases. Perform ergonomic analysis on existing systems to identify scope for capital improvements.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university
3+ years of engineering experience
Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Chemical or Industrial engineering experience preferred
Experience with simulation modeling
