Job Summary and Mission
This position contributes to Nestlé Coffee Partners (NCP) success by using customer, category, and shopper insights to develop product specific Go-To-Market strategies and serves as the conduit between Marketing, Operations, Forecasting teams and our Consumer Product Goods (CPG) Customer teams. This position translates category marketing plans to executable plans while serving as the voice of the customer into the category and is responsible for delivering the category’s business plan to the key teams and Acosta, our 3rd party retail partners. This position reports to the NCP Starbucks Planning Manager.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
The Sales Planner Associates’ responsibilities and essential job functions, in coordination with the Sales Planning Manager, include, but are not limited to the following: :
•Lead respective brand as a priority within the NCP Go-To-Market strategy to achieve all Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Sales Fundamental objectives. A steward of all NCP brands.
•Communicate sales/customer needs to marketing and translate category-marketing plans into CPG plans that build brand equity and grow market share.
•Develop and deploy clear communication and cohesive category plans to CPG/3rd party retail partner teams.
•Co-creates innovative ideas with the category/marketing organization to address CPG customer’s needs.
•Support customer forecast process and ensure product production and delivery to meet customer needs.
•Champion business building ideas based on the customer and customer team communications and market/customer analyses.
•Use customer, category and insights to provide direct input into your respective brand’s based on customer merchandising and sales promotion plans.
•Coordinate new item introduction and associated distribution tracking, and build ad hoc reporting designed to drive business goals,
•Contribute to Business Planning Call process.
•Ensure Go-To-Market plans, materials, and approach aligns with NCP and the overall brand strategy.
•Understand the key business drivers at retailers to identify opportunities for growth.
•Integrates the work of NCP categories, marketing and sales planning to deliver cohesive aligned programs.
•Exhibit strong strategic direction and financial discipline when constructing and selling ideas and solutions.
•Educate multi-functional business partners on executional requirements of retailers.
•Lead customer specific projects providing analysis and support.
•Responsible for routine and ad hoc IRI analysis for respective brands.
•Support customer forecast reviews, demand reviews, annual sales summit and AOP process.
Summary of Experience
•2+ years of multiple levels of experience: using multi-functional resources, selling a product, managing a category, or building sales marketing plans within a global CPG company.
•2+ year’s experience executing product strategy and sales plans in a CPG company.
•2 years experience managing and leading joint business plans with major CPG customers across multiple categories and at multiple levels with a CPG manufacturer and/or a CPG customer.
•High School diploma/GED or 4+ years of US military service or more years of experience in a role performing sales planning job functions
•Bachelor’s degree preferred
•Experience calling on a CPG retailer with responsibilities including new item presentations, promotional presentations, seasonal presentations, strategic collaborative planning presentations etc.

•Understand the CPG industry and how the Sales Planning role enables the sales teams to sell.

•Identifies and communicates key responsibilities to ensure the immediate team promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results.
