The Nestlé USA (NUSA) Operations Finance team works with our Technical & Production business partners to provide insights and bridge the manufacturing costs to the Profit & Loss Statement. This includes the planning, forecasting and analysis of actual costs vs. plan and performance versus prior year. This role will be the primary contact in translating the costs and insights from factory, co-manufactures, new businesses, affiliates.
The Finance Manager, Operations Finance will provide decision support as an integrated business partner to key Nestlé Division Stakeholders for their operations expenses. This role will have the opportunity to build new processes to define how operations finance will interact with the business, functional and the operations teams. This role will also need to define the vital team structure to support the growing number of business within the portfolio. This individual will provide all the financial performance data, analytics and forecasting recommendations to drive the business forward by working closely with our operations teams in factories and through the contract manufacturing team. Due to do the constantly evolving environment, this role is extremely critical in providing clear insight to operations costs associated with business integrations and other operations projects. In addition, this role supports the Director of Finance, Operations by providing insight and transparency to key initiatives. Finally, this role is responsible for the management and development of a staff of 2 financial analysts.
•Identify and develop key processes for operations finance team to support the outstanding business needs.
•Build key relationships across the organization to help align and optimally communicate all impacts
•Provide timely, transparent and accurate management reporting of actual performance versus budget, dynamic forecast (DF), and historical trends
•Work closely with the contract manufacturing and factory finance teams to provide detailed, well-researched explanations of variances compared to budget, DF & history.
Highlight risks and opportunities to the budget and DF based on current trends & anticipated changes
•Generate and track efficiency opportunities and existing projects to go above and beyond
•Handle month end close processes for areas of responsibility
•Ensuring full transparency of costs and financial impacts to the organization for strategic decisions relating to operations. Provide relevant insight on operations contribution to the overall financial performance of the business and market to stakeholders
•Collaborate with the Costing Center of Competence (CCC) to simplify and consolidate month end close processes to drive continuous efficiencies
•Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators
•Provide analysis and insights on savings initiatives
•Build management presentations for business partners to effectively communicate key changes in their distribution costs
•Responsible for the MBS process for operations
•Hire, supervise, develop and coach direct reports
•Bachelors Degree in Business with concentration in Accounting or Finance (MBA Preferred)
•3-5 years of proven experience across operations
•3-5 years accounting or related financial analysis experience
•Proficient in key software and systems (GLOBE SAP, Essbase, MS Excel, Dodeca)
•Position requires approximately 25% travel

•Sound knowledge and understanding of Nestlé Accounting Standards.
•Understanding of financial statement relationships (P&L, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows).
•Strong analytical and interpersonal skills are required.
•Advanced computer based analytical skills utilizing the Microsoft suite of products and SAP/BW
•Excellent problem solving skills
