Plant Sanitarian is responsible for assembling,disassembling, cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
All Plant Sanitarians:
Operate Littleford & Processall mixers, Laskachoppers, all Cookroom kettles, Hydrauflaker, screw conveyor, Comitrol and bindumpers in order to scrape-out, clean, and sanitize this equipment.
Assemble and disassemble allof the above.
3. Clean bins and other pieces of equipment, walls,floors, evaporators, vents, filters, racks, overheads and drains in all areas.
Perform pre-arranged generalcleaning and environmental cleaning in packaging, warehousing and raw areas.
Operate pallet washer, bin washer,and parts washer.
Operate chemical dispensingequipment.
Perform all job duties inaccordance with the company’s safety guidelines.
Properly use all personalprotective gear per company guidelines.
Assure timely cleaning andsanitation of all equipment and assure absence of down time.
Accurately complete allrequired documentation.
Dispose of trash and cleanwork area thoroughly.
Remove any unused product,boxes and utensils and assure clear and clean work area.
Complete all jobs in anyarea as assigned by supervisors.
Work any assignment asdirected by supervisor.
Assure regular and timelyattendance per company guidelines.
Work overtime as assigned bysupervisor.
Participate in on-goingtraining to enhance knowledge and skills.
Perform other duties asassigned.
Operate a floor scrubber.
Enter Work Ordernotifications.
Perform Safety and QualityRisk Predictions.
Perform FHF requirements.
Know/understand and be ableto look up LOTO procedures for any job needing performed
May be required to work in Production, Packaging andother plant areas.

High school education or GED preferred.
Ability to read and comprehend simple to morecomplex instructions, formulas, policies and procedures. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information inone-on-one and small group situations.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and tomultiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using unit’s weight measurement,volume and distance.
Basic computer knowledge. Ability to comprehend internal inventorysystem and input data accurately.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carryout detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a fewconcrete variables in standardized situations.

The employee must constantly lift equipment andsupplies that can weigh between 15 to 100 pounds throughout the day whiledisassembling, sanitation and assembling. The employee must constantly push orpull equipment and supplies that can weigh between 10 to 800 pounds. This willhappen when moving equipment, bins, cleaning supplies from room to room forcleaning.
