Director of Internal Communications

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Director of Internal Communication, reporting to the head of Corporate Communications, based in our new Arlington, VA headquarters. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior leader who wants to be at the heart of Nestlé USA’s transformation. As the top leader of internal communications, you’ll lead the development and execution of internal communications strategies in the US, working closely with the CEO and executives across the business.

Specific responsibilities include:
Champion and be a key contributor to our cultural evolution to be more agile and focused on innovation. You’ll need to influence company leaders to adopt key strategies and programs to drive business results. This is an amazing opportunity to be part of Nestlé USA’s exciting transformation as we move our HQ from Southern California to Arlington, VA.

Lead lean team to provide top-notch communications planning and execution for key functions and business divisions.

Lead digital strategy for internal communications with a visible passion for social media used within an organization.

Provide executive communications, counsel and execution for NUSA’s Chairman & CEO, CFO and Chief People Officer.

Develop talking points, FAQs, presentations, videos, web content, social media/digital strategies for employees – all to reinforce our corporate brand, culture and transformational journey.

Strategic counsel to community involvement program

Manage Nestlé USA historical archives (with external partner)

Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 7 years of internal communications or related experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field required

Skills:
Confident, self-sufficient leader who loves employee communications. You will be the go-to expert for internal communication and change management initiatives.
Well-developed storytelling skills; ability to write quickly and clearly for social media, video, town halls, etc. Excellent (and ruthless) editing skills.
Must have extraordinary EQ: ability to work well with people at all levels, especially senior leaders. Understand nuances, comfortable working in gray areas – all with the highest personal integrity.
Effectively handles pressures and demands from multiple clients and competing priorities.
